Backstitch

Backstitch is generally used to outline areas of colour using less strands of thread than for the cross stitches.

The backstitch can be added by drawing between any two points on the canvas or by using the automatic backstitch tool. The automatic tool will add backstitch around an existing cross stitch design by following the outline of an area of colour.

The printout can show backstitch as coloured or black lines or as a line of tiny symbols to allow easier identification using the standard symbol key.

The program allows adding of backstitch in all the colours available for cross stitch. Stitches can start and end on any grid line so there is no limit to the angle.
