Blackwork is the making of a design from set patterns of backstitch usually in black thread.
Although the designs could be created with the backstitch tool, it would be very time consuming. The Plus and publisher editions can fill areas with a number of preset blackwork patterns. Additional patterns can also be designed with the program.
